The Roasting on the River oyster roast is our largest fundraising event of the year. Each March, 350-450 people attend the event hosted in Hammond’s Ferry at Boeckh Park on the banks of the Savannah River. Patrons enjoy all-you-can-eat oysters, BBQ, sides, live music, raffles, and silent auction items. In 2015, we raised a net profit of $15,000 through the event. All proceeds benefit local schools and families.

Each October, we participate in North Augusta’s Jack-O- Lantern Jubilee. Our members help to judge the costume contest and provide prizes, while others sell refreshing beverages and sweet treats at our NAJWL table.
Christmas Tree Lighting
Children enjoy writing letters to Santa and drinking hot chocolate with us at the annual North Augusta Christmas Tree Lighting! The money we raise through refreshment sales helps to fund our Reading Readiness program.
The NAJWL Scholarship is awarded to deserving high school seniors that plan to attend college. A scholarship committee determines the scholarship recipients based on community involvement and service, academics, and financial need. The scholarship application is available to North Augusta High School and Fox Creek High School students that reside in North Augusta.
